Day 1 Bangkok-Nakhon Ratcasima

You will be pickked up at hotel in Bangkok and travel to Nakhon Ratchsima, about 250 km from Bangkok. After checking in at a hotel, visit Phanom Rung, a Khmer hilltop 120 km from the city. On the way back, visit the village of Dan Kwian, where a unique and very attractive type of local earthenware is made.(L,D)

Day 2 Nakhon Ratchasima-Khon Kaen-Bangkok

Depart to Ban Prasat,46 km from Nakhon Ratchasima, and visit the prehistoric archaeological site there.Visit the ruins of Phimai and also the open-air museum, 14 km from Ban Prasat. Then travel on to Khon Khaen, a distance of about 140 km. Visit the Khon Kaen National Museum with a display of temple boundary stones from this area. Then depart for Sahatsakhan District in Kalasin, 82 kms east of Khon Kaen. Visit the excavation site where the bones of at least 6 dinosaurs, believed to be 130 million years old, were discovered in 1994. These dinosaur were sauropods, and ate only vegetation. After dinner at Khon Kaen, fly back to Bangkok and transfer to hotel in Bangkok.(L,D)
